Daychovo horo, Bulgarian: the same 2+2+2+3 nine as the Turkish karsilama, but fast and light, a line dance with a spring on the long fourth beat. Tapan booms on all four beats, switch strokes fill the eighths, the bass walks root and fifth. Compare it with the karsilama: same grouping, different country, different weight — here the long beat bounces rather than drags. Practice: count 1-2, 1-2, 1-2, 1-2-3 at a slow 110 before you take it up to dance tempo.
