Lesnoto (the easy one), the Macedonian line dance: seven eighths grouped 3+2+2 — the long beat comes first, which is the opposite lean to the Bulgarian rachenitsa. Slow, long, then two quicks: slow, quick-quick. Dancers step on the long beat and bounce through the two short ones; the drum gives the long beat its weight and the bass sits on all three. Listen for how different the same seven eighths feel when the long group moves to the front. Practice: say one-two-three, one-two, one-two and walk it.
